Sounds to me like corrosion problems on elec contacts. Check all the
bulb socket rivets, they are stainless steel and cannot be soldered. If
the rivets are loose, the only way to fix them is to wrap a good quality
silver plated wire to the spring contact to the bulb and solder the other
end to the first solder joint on the assembly. I've done this to mine 8
months ago and it's been working great, or you can buy new ones and they
will work for a while till the same problem develops.
