Go find yourself a "welding" muffler shop. Avoid Meineke, Speedy, Midas
and the like. Look in the yellow pages under welders and muffler shops,
and look for one that does custom exhaust work. You might stop in on a
busy looking mechanic and see what he knows. I have had the piece you
described welded on mine (and several other sections) for $40. These
shops have pipe benders, etc that can fabricate a flanged section w/out a
problem.
