You will probably be faced with at a minimum changing all the
electronics and vairous engine controls along with the engine. The
trans should also swap, but then you may have to replace everything to
the end of the driveshaft. Again, maybe not all that hard.
I'm not all that familiar with the 82. If you plan on using an engine
our of an 87, you should plan on having the entire car. Carefully
compare the front crossmember. If it is different, it must be swapped.
Probably many other minor mounting checks you would also have to
investigate.
