Having sunk a horrendous amount of money into my 505 STX (brought it for
$1,500, spent $4,500 in repairs over the last five months), I'm wondering
how many miles I can get out of the engine and transmission before they need
an overhaul. The car has 111,000 miles. The engine is in excellent shape and
the transmission seems fine. Clutch is a bit tight. But I digress. Has
anyone got over
200,000 miles or more out of their V-6 before it needs an overhaul? After
spend some big bucks on this car, I fear that I'll only get another 50k or
so out of it before the engine needs substantial work.
