I was quoted US$1,500 to remove, rebuild, and reinstall my ZF 4HP22 tranny a
couple of years ago by a local independent Peugeot shop. They would
actually only do the remove/reinstall, and would use a local transmission
specialist shop for the rebuild. I believe Brian Holm also quoted me a
source that would rebuild for around $800-$900 (of course that would require
getting the tranny to him, as well as remove/reinstall).
