I always get about 30mpg running around in my 405 Mi16. If I drive with a
light foot I get about 32mpg. I haven't tested the mileage for a full
tank on the highway, but I would guess it would be 33-34. I would think
the 8-valve would get better mileage, but the automatic might be cause for
lower mpg.

My Mi16 is twitchy around town; it feels like it wants to get the heck
away from town and go!! I definitely feel every crack in the road at slow
speeds. The car is really best the faster you go, and the farther away
from town.
