Those speakers were a headache for me when I went out and bought some
replacements, assuming that they were 6.5". It turns out they are around
7.25" instead. I don't know if that is a European size, but they sure don't
exist on the shelves here in the US. I had to make some brackets to fit
between the grill holes and the new speaker. I used aluminum flashing for
this. Hope you can figure something out. If you do it the way that I did
it, you'd have to be really careful not to create any rattles, or buzzes with
the bass tones.
