I have a 405 S and had a similar problem. There is a spring loaded rod
attached to the throttle at the front of the engine. The rod had come
loose. When I re-attached it, the cruise started working again.

New owner of the 405....
The cruise control doesnt work. Is this common? Anyone have any advice
on a fix?
I checked the fuse..(which is a common fuse for many accessories...) and
that's not it.
The activation light comes on, but the stalk doesnt produce any results.
