1987 505 Strange clicking noise

I noticed a clicking sound coming from the lower passenger footwell/glove
compartment side when engaging my transmission in reverse. It clicks a few
times. I have never noticed this before. I put the car back in P and moved
it to R again. I then shut off the engine and started up again, same clicks.
Again, I have the 4HP22 transmission.
