I was just forced to fix my ign. lock because the driver door lock was
getting stuck and I wanted to make the car more fun to steal. After
fixing the ign. I lubricated the door lock. The lock nows turns easily,
and I found out why it was getting stuck. The little metal flap that
covers the key hole no longer springs closed after the key is removed. I
think that the exposure to the elements is ruining the lock. It's not to
inconvenient to lubricate it every other week, but I was wondering if
anyone has a miracle fix for the door lock. The metal flap is still
attached and will go into place if you shut the door a few times but it
doesn't stay. Thanks for any help.
