Thanks to everyone who gave advice on how to fix the ign. lock. I was
thinking about just leaving it be. Sometimes it was convenient to be
able to leave car running w/o keys. But as the drivers door lock
starting getting stuck I decided if I can't lock the car I'd better fix
the ign. I can't remember who told me how to fix it (thank you whoever
it was), but I was suprised to find it so simple to fix. It took me alot
of time and patience but armed with only a paperclip and WD40, I fixed
it. And now I know how the lock works. I never thought about why the '87
key has a hole at the tip and the '83 key doesn't, now I know.
