One thing that is for sure, too much gas is being used. You are runningpretty
rich. Check your spark plugs and tell me what color they are.

A fuel pressure regulator that doesn't open would bring the pressureup and you
would be running richer than you'd want, even with the
turbo. If it was blown open you wouldn't run at all.

Is this an LH equipped car or another type? On an L it's obvious thespring
pressure is bad or even the spring broke. On one L-jet car
I have it happened after I tried adjusting it for more power. I got
more power for a short while, then the spring came out of the cog.
Fuel consumption was terrible, idle way too high, smell of gas etc...
I repaired it, did some crude adjustment using the O2 sensor and
an analog voltmeter, but I'm not 100% satisfied yet. I am getting
right now about 26-28mpg. Does Autozone and the likes have
a stoich meter?
