I'm not sure what is considered overheating. My '89 405 Mi16 varies
between 165 and 190 when driving, but when idling in for a long time it
goes up to about 210, then back down to about 185, cycling between these
two temps. It never seems to have a problem, but I don't know if this is
normal.
