You have probably installed junk in place of the world's finest production
shock absorbers. The squeak is just the beginning. I hope you kept your
old shocks. With $20 worth of seals and a quart of power steering fluid the
fronts could be good as new, and odds are the rears were probably better
than the new ones just the way they came off. If not there are plenty of
used oe ones around that are.
I am surprised if Stevenson's installed this stuff without protesting
loudly. It would have been in your best interest.
If you want your Peugeot to ride, handle, and last like an american car, buy
american shocks. Otherwise, stick with french!
