To loosen the nut, I slipped an old fan belt into a pipe, looped the fan
belt around the pulley, clamped vice grips on the fan belt loop that
extended on the other side of the pipe. Clockwise leverage on the pipe
held the pulley stationary while loosening the nut.

When reassembling, the critical gotcha is the woodruff key remaining in
place. Lew suggested a small drop of weather strip adhesive to keep it
in place, then carefully slide the clutch pulley on and make sure it's
groove is in place over the woodruff key by rotating it.
