alan,

no peugeots past or present have traction control(correct me if I am
wrong guys), and from what I have seen in magazine articles it is
doubtful that they ever will; Peugeot is very confident of their
suspension set-up(too right, they should be). I believe that some car
manufacturers are just compensating for their lack of suspension
expertise by offering traction control. In a recent test between the
406, 328, and A4(Europe of course), the 406 had no trouble on the wet
tracks, and commended praise even though both its German competitors had
traction control. Sure limiting wheel slip and torque conversion
(through an expensive multitude of sensors and ABS channels) is great
for snow and ice, but a good transmission can handle that also -which
looks to be the direction Peugeot is headed.
