Timing Belts and Wiper blades 405

As a matter of interest, Luciano at Westend Peugeot in Toronto takes
5.0 hours to change the timing belt on the 405 MI16. Does this seem
reasonable?

Porsche 944 timing belts are a major weakness since failure results
in valve/piston "interference". My 944T requires new belts every
50000km or 3 years. I think the job is easier and takes less time
than the 405. Why Porsche went with a belt rather than a chain...???

Westend Peugeot sells Bosche 22" wipers (metal) for $10 Cdn (each) that are
perfectly OK for the 405. I use plastic tie wraps to install the
washer fluid tube because the factory clips snap easily on a cold
day when hit accidently with the snow brush (welcome to Canada!)
