"405 DL,'91, broken glove box lock

Warning!
Don't pull the handle on your 405 glove box while you are rotating the key
in the lock. You'll hear a snap and your glove box will stay shut.
Now how do I get it open!
Does anyone know how to get into the glove compartment without doing
serious damage to the compartment door? It doesn't appear to be locked, its
the latch mech that's broken.
