The motor may not be getting sufficient current due to voltage drop
through the switch and wires. One way to verify this is to unplug the
motor, connect boost cable to the battery and run other end in the trunk,
make alligator clips and connect to motor. Reverse polarity to go the
other way. If the SR works you've found the problem, could be a marginal
switch or poor contact at the accessory relay or grounding.
