You need to charge on the low side, which is the fitting on the S or Suction
side of the compressor, and yes, it's tough to get at. Just drop the hose
down from above and connect it from underneath, making sure it doesn't come
in contact with the exhaust maniforld (= burnt hose). happy cooling.
