No more daily driving?

I might have the chance to get an '86 pontiac Grand Am for $700 from a
friend and co-worker. His brother has been forced to sell alot of his
possesions and he's desperate to get rid of it. My co-worker sold this
car to his brother 10 months ago and did everything to get it through
inspection. I looked at it: good solid trans., v-6 engine rebuilt about
2 years ago, complete service records, seems to still be in passible
condition. I'm trying to raise the money now.

If I get it, the grand am would become my daily driver (at least for a
while). This would definately give me much more time to work on the car
without time restraints. I will definately miss the style, seats and the
handling. And the grand am is in desperate need of a paint job.

I'm hoping with time to get the 505 into original shape. I'll need to:
fix drooping door hinges, replace aftermarket suspension with oem, new
paint, new brake rotors, new switches, new wiring for engine
compartment, replace bad rack, replace parts of the exhaust, pass
emmisions. I figure I'll have the car ready for daily driving in a few
short decades.

Sorry to ramble. I definately appreciate the help of everyone on this
list and any future help that I will surely need as I tackle these
tasks.
