84 505S sedan drivetrain noise

With parking brakes on, when I put the automatic transmission of the 84
505S sedan into drive or reverse, I hear this clunk which does not sound
normal. With brakes on, the front end of the car rises when in put
into drive and the rear end rises when put in reveres. Is this normal
for a sedan? The idle speed is at 1000 rpm according to the tach. Could
this slightly high idle cause this? . I'm also beginning to notice an
almost imperceptable grinding noise in the suspension getting louder.
What are the weak links in the 4 wheel independent suspension of the 505
sedan?
