What to do ? Battery or harness trouble and the hood can`t be opened
because the release cable has melted plastic over it. Happened to me. It
runs right by the battery. It might be a good idea to have a separate
cable hanging under the bumper as a backup to pop the hood if the
under-dash one is damaged. I now carry an extinguisher.
