I was able to close the sr all the way once the headliner was removed.
Glad I was able to do that because we are expecting rain.
On another note:
I've been noticing lately that many list members are sending private

Any comments?

If you remove the bottom cover of the sr you can see where the plastic
cord attaches to a metal bracket that attaches to the sr itself. If you
un-bolt the metal bracket from the sr you should be able to manually
close sr using the metal arms on both sides.
Be very careful taking the headliner off the bottom of the sr. It uses
the plastic clips that you have to pry out. I wasn't careful and pulled
the clips right out of the particle board material. Do the front part
with sr partially open then do the rest.
