Volvo K&N Filter Tests

There was a comment a while ago about Volvo having
tested K&N filters and found they were poor.
Can anyone shed any more light on this.
I think that a K&N cone filter with a little
stock piping is the way to go for me. But, turbo
diesels suck a lot of air and I don't want mine
to suck a lot of dirt too!
