Kevin,

To check the clutch fan. Connect the carbon brush to +12 V while engine
is running. Clutch should pull in and fan should run. Check that the
gap is to spec. Make sure the carbon brush is free to move in the brush
holder. Spray some WD40 in there and work it a bit. If the brush is
worn, replace with a new one for $5.
