If yours is the V6 the starter is under the passenger side of the vehicle, a
little forward of where the legs of the passenger normally would rest. If you
end up removing it try and see if someone will clean the terminals and solenoid
connections using a sandblasting technique used on motors, starters etc. I
took mine in to have it rebuilt but the guy first sandblasted it. On testing
it cranked fine so I just out it back in the car and has not bothered me so
since (2 years). Being under the engine and exposed to elements gets the
terminals rusty and corroded.
