There is a Peugeot service bulletin to quiet the intank pump down though
I've not tried the procedure. Jim, I can scan and send it to you for
distribution if you want. The metal cased replacement pumps seem to be
noisier than the plastic cased OEM VDO unit. This may be due to the
metal being a better sound transmitter to the bracket/ tank, which
becomes an amplifier. I think the only way to quiet it down is to modify
the mount with isolators. BTW the pump I used was a SAAB aftermarket
unit from the UK, not AC-Delco.
