My 89 405 is coming up on 160,000 miles and the tranny is starting to
slip regularly again. This is the third transmission on this car. The
first was replaced under factory warranty and this one was rebuilt about
3 years and 50,000 miles ago. I literally live on the top of a big hill
so maybe that's particularly hard on the tranny but otherwise I've been
easy on the car and have had the fluid changed annually.
Does anyone else on the list have a 405 with an automatic? If so have
you fared any better?
