two to tow from Philly

I purchased two 85 TDs (one a sedan the other a wagon) from a widow of
a gentleman that used to collect Peugeots. They live somewhere in NJ
right outside of Philly. When making a bid for the cars I told the lady
that I would be picking them up in a reasonable time frame. Both
vehicles do not run on their own (yet). With all this ugly weather this
year I have had no chance at all of even contemplating the job thus
far. But I suspect the lady in NJ is just about ready to throw the cars
into the river if I don't show up soon enough. I need some advice and
help from those that live in the vicinity of Philly.

First, what view do PA and NJ troopers/cops take of vehicles on tow on
their interstates? Are tow dollies pulled by heavy duty pickups
allowed? Do they prefer 4 wheel vehicle transporter ? Please advise.

Second, I can't tow two vehicles at the same time. However, I would
like to relieve the seller lady of them. I will need a place to store
them for several weeks until I can make a return trip for the second
tow. If any of you in or around Philly has any advice on this please be
liberal with it.

Third, and this is a general query: how should a rear wheel drive
automatic be towed? On its front wheel, I thought, right? Will castor
and steering lock do the job of keeping the towed vehicle in line with
the towing vehicle?

Thanks
