We had an electrical fire today in the engine compartment of our 86 505 Turbo
Diesel. The car is being towed to my mechanic tomorrow. Has anyone had any
experiences with electrical fires in the engine compartment? What I've heard
so far has not been positive. Also it looks as though a bunch of the wires in
the midsection of the drivers side of the engine compartment melted. The car
has been running with no problems since we got it and has been properly
maintained. I just don't know what to say. Any comments are appreciated.
