I agree with Ray's advice re trailering vs dollying. On the other hand,
dollying is possible. I have a retired U-Haul dolly with surge brakes,
which a friend who is a very good driver has used on many occasions to
deliver 505s to me from all over behind his TD sedan without incident.
Automatics must be towed backwards with the steering wheel securely lashed
to the seatback, and the key in the lock (the steering lock rarely locks
the wheels straight). Setting the toe-in to some toe-out would probably
improve tracking. They are a little squirrely and hard to get used to,
especially in heavy traffic or adverse weather. I don't believe I would do
this myself for any distance, especially backwards, but John has done it
many times.
