By the way, I own an '86 505GL Sedan. 180,000 miles on it......although
I had the engine replaced with a used one about 3 yrs ago (the original
had about 130K at that time and something on the bottom end
went....sounded like a diesel, the 2.0L!). So I can't be sure how many
miles were on this engine when it was installed, but it runs great,
never had a problem with it at all......
Peugeot's are great cars, I had an '83 505STI before this one.......also
had an '84 Renault Sportwagon and an '88 Renault Medallion. I have to
admit, the Peugeot's were always more reliable than the Renaults.....but
nowadays, the new cars by these two firms are probably all comparably
reliable, just like most other manufacturers.
I sure wish Peugeot would come back to the USA. Renault, too, and
possibly even Citroen. There's just something about a French car that I
like........
