88 505 sw8 transmission oil draining

I am trying to replace transmission oil and filter on my wife's 88 SW8.
While under the car unscrewing the transmission drain plug I noted that
there were two more allen plugs just behind the bellhousing and in front
of the transmission oil pan). What are these plugs for and what happens
if I open them ? Are these plugs to be opened too in order to do a
proper transmission oli drain? Lastly, how many drains do I need to do
before a majority of the volume of the oil in the tranny is new?
