It seems the A/C hangs up...and I've discovered if I 'fiddle' with a
small, aluminum switcher/relay box up behind the glovebox door, it'll
then kick in. This is some sort of Bosch relay box for the A/C (and lord
knows what else). I've taken the box apart, removed the circuit board
there, and resoldered the connections on the board, just in case there
was a 'hairline' crack in one of them. This did not solve the problem,
however, and neither did cleaning the contact on the board which is, I
guess, some sort of little solenoid. Since the wires do not rub against
anything that connect to this, and are not moved (other than me fiddling
with them), I figure that the wiring must be ok, and that perhaps the
problem is truly in this box. Anyone else ever have this problem? Please
advise on what I should do. Should I just go to a salvage yard and get
another box.....used ones go for maybe $45, I've been told, by a local
Peugeot repair/dismantling shop here in Charlotte, NC. When the A/C does
engage, it is cold.
Regards,
Brian
