If we are serious about doing this capital Pug fest, and it appears quite a few
are genuinely interested, then here are a few things to consider. Some have
been already raised by others, and I concur with most. But I especially concur
with getting out of DC for the major part of our rendezvous:
1) skyline drive and blue ridge parkway is truly beautiful. If we can have
10-20 peugeots go through one stretch of the skyline drive all at once,
stopping at scenic overlooks, etc, it would be quite a sight to behold;
2) we can always do a side trip into DC on the same day or the next day for
those really up to it
3) if we do the skyline drive route, we can reserve a country inn/diner
somewhere along the way (I can do the hunting for this) and stop for lunch;
4) if people really thing it will be worthwhile, I can call the French Embassy
and see if there is someone there who will join us for some lighthearted fun
when we attack DC.
5) the best time would be in the spring; so people who are into basking in the
mall can have the chance to so that too.
