I experienced the same problem with my 4HP22,
Assuming that your kick down cable is intact and set properly
I changed the fluid 2X in 2 weeks .
The problem resolved itself and it shifts fine now.
Dirty fluid can can host of problems,especially in this tranny.
I lucked out and now I change the tranny fluid regularly.
