The plugs that were replaced are NGK platinum which the dealer said are the
only ones to use. He said definitely not to use BOSCH.
Brian, I feel really good about my Acura dealer experiences--having two since
the Acura first came out in 1986. They have never been greedy although,
frankly, I have avoided the classic $500 mile service intervals. But when I
take cars to them for a particular problem they have always been very
responsive and reasonable. For instance in this last visit, I asked them to
fix the in-bumber front turn light assembly which was protuding on one side.
It has a special bolt and grommet that attaches it to the bumper and had
fallen out. These cannot be bought separate from the assembly. They
fashioned a replacement from a box of stuff, reinstalled it and on the bill
next to it had "good will." I know my Peugeot dealer would not have done
that and would have at least charged me labor.
I will always try to have a Peugeot, but will always also have an Acura to
even out the costs of car maintenance and to ensure that I will always have at
least one car to get around.
