I remember a heated debate about this topic last year. I still stand by the
idea of gutting the original clutch fan until it is essentially a pulley, and
installing a modern electric fan. The thought of all that mass....rotational
mass at that..on the end of the water pump shaft (I'm assuming, they are the
gas motors). Nothing is harder on your pump than all that weight on it all
the time.
