When I first got my 85 XN6 wagon, I could not get the engine to idle.
Always had to feather the throttle in neutral to keep it from stalling.
I found the micro-switch to be bad. Replaced with a Radio Shack
micros-switch which looked identical to the OEM so I wired it up the
same, engine still won't idle. After banging my head for a while I
checked the switch wiring, it was backwards from the OEM unit. Re-wired
it and problem solved. So if you are going to use the Radio Shack
switch, make sure you buzz it out.
