My new Becker Grand Prix stereo has a speed sesitive volume control. According
to Steve, on his '86 TD there is a speed sensor wire coming out of the
spedometer attatcing under the hood to the cruise control. I can't find it on
my '85 but perhaps I'm just not seeing it.
In any event, the Becker manual states the car must be equipped with a facory
installed speed sensor, it must be a square wave up to 800hz and between 2.5
and 4.0 volts. I'm a little annoyed, as one of the reasons I chose this stereo
was that feauture. I drove a Golf TD in europe with it and thought it was
great....
Any suggestions....
