Help, I could not get my key to go into the ignition.

For some strange reason I could not get my key in this morning. (87 505)
I performed all the usual tricks...jiggle steering wheel, turn wheel. (it
turned to locking position)
I also tried to lubricate the ignition. The spare key also was unable to go
in.
I will check the archives, but in the mean time any hints????
