405DL 5-Spd Tranny - topping off oil

As you 405 owners with the manual tranny know, there is an oil seal on the
passenger side of the transaxle where the driveshaft exits that has a tendency
to leak. Well, I had my leaking seal replaced last year with the new, updated
design. However, it is already leaking again. I guess that this is one of
those things where ya just can't win. Anyway, what I wanted to know was - how
hard is it to top off the tranny oil on the 405 5-spd? Can this be done through
the engine compartment, or do I need to crawl under the car? I don't have any
ramps or jack stands, either, so I would have to somehow get under there if the
latter is the case.
