405 DL cooling fans

Hi; Thanks to all for the input on other subjects lately.

I wrote last winter that I had packed the front of my 405 with snow and
it started to over heat. I was afraid I had jammed snow in the fans
stopping them from turning. Not so. It seems that they have never run
in the 3 years I have owned the car. (I am blessed in that I am seldom
in stop and go traffic.

Once I hand started the fans and hot wired them they run fine.

Question: Does any one have a wiring diagram for the US 405
DL with air. (The English Haynes manual has the wrong diagram for my
car) Or, can any one tell where a temp switch is on the DL engine.

I would like to rig up a switch in the car so I can turn them on my self
in hot weather or to exercise them.

Thanks
