405 A/C problem

I am clueless about auto air conditioning. Any advice from the more
knowledgeable?

90% of the time, starting with a cold engine, the A/C gives me plenty of
cold air for the first mile or two, until the engine begins to warm up.
Then all I get is "street air". But maybe once a week, I get normal,
full-fledged A/C service. Last year, my dealer found the system is fully
charged, so that's not the problem, obviously. They replaced the trinary
switch (whatever the heck that does) and the A/C worked properly for a
week or two before returning to once-in-a-while status.

I presume it's not that door ECU, since the heater functions properly.
Please tell me its not the A/C ECU, unless someone has one to sell me for
twenty bucks.

Any help would sure be appreciated.
