Re: Perhaps because I don't have an owner's manual(the engine
quick-reference parts manual didn't cut it :)), I can't confirm that my
defrost/heater fan is working properly. (and have a couple of other
questions)
I can get a FAINT cool breeze to come out of the vents, but it doesn't seem
strong enough.
Perhaps if someone can help me understand the following, I can confirm
whether or not I have a problem.
1) in the fuse box, should I be concerned that there is a missing 6-prong
'big fuse' or switch, as shown here:

2) I don't understand all the dashboard switches and symbols yet;
specifically:
a) there is a panel of 3 rows of 2 columns of switches, the top row of
which I am uncertain about. Right above the emergency flasher switch, it
looks approximately like:

where '$' represents a squiggly arrow with a arrowhead at the top
b) there is a columnar 7-switch switch panel to the right of the panel
described in 'a' and the bottom switch has 'ECO' on it. Presumably this
dictates WHERE the fan directs it's air stream, but I don't fully understand
any of these.
c) there is a pair of slider switches to the right of the panel described
in 'b', the leftmost of these being the one I THINK should operate the fan,
the rightmost one controlling temperature.
3) what is the mysterious door about the same size as and directly above the
ash tray? (it has what vaguely looks like a tea kettle symbol on it)
4) I have a 12-volt-to-4.5 volt CD-player power cable which I had formerly
plugged into the cigarete lighter of my former car, a Ford. It won't work
in the Peugeot's cigarete lighter. Do they make and where can I get an
adaptor that will work?
