John,
When I bought my '87 STX a year and a half ago, I had a problem with a very
faint ventilation blower. The fan seemed stong, but hardly any air came out.
Investigation indicated that the squirrel cage blower was turning backwards!
Reversing the polarity on the fan blower (i.e revesing the wires) to the
blower corrected the problem. The previous owner mentioned that he always
froze in winter. No wonder!

Does your variable switch on the left side of the heater controls work, i.e.,
does the fan get stonger as you raise the slider? If it seems to work fine but
you still get minimal air through the vents (make sure the vents are open),
then you may have a polarity problem.

strong enough.
