First off, Carlisle was great this year! Yes, Philip G., there were 405s - my
'89 DL, a '91 S, and a tricked-out '91 405Mi16. The breadth of French cars
present beyond Peugeots was also amazing. All sorts of Citroens, including an
Ami 6, Deutsch-Bonnets, Panhards, even a lone Renault Fuego. But perhaps the
most exciting French car I saw this weekend was yesterday. I was driving
through Park Slope, Brooklyn when what else should pull up behind me but a brand
new, maroon 406 Station Wagon! Unfortunately, the light turned green before I
had a chance to ask questions, but the car was very sharp! It seemed that we
were both checking out each others' cars. Could this be another sign of
Peugeot's imminent reentry into the US market?
