On the new style interior, it's totally electric and the 12 volt heater
control valve is located down near, actually below, I think, the steering
column on the firewall in the engine compartment. You can't miss it because
it has 2 wires and 2 very long molded hoses going to it. I suspect your
console temp controller is messed up and until you fix it, you might just
unplug the wires from the valve and it will be off, for no heat, during the
summer. Hopefully someone will have worked on the controller in the console
because I haven't.
