I think the main problem with the 89 antenna is that it is mounted on a
steeper surface than the earlier ones, and that the bezel gizmo next to the
body is not available. Perhaps your old one is still ok.? Probably the
earlier antenna could be adapted if you have that part (I haven't checked
this).
I think the replacement mast may still be available.
